What is Profit Leak AI?

A financial analysis tool for business owners. You upload transaction data and it identifies recurring expenses, supplier cost increases, duplicate payments, unusual transactions and other cost patterns that may be worth reviewing, then ranks them into a Profit Recovery Plan.

Question 2

What data do I upload?

Accepted Answer

A transaction export covering 3–12 months: bank account, credit card, or payment platform activity such as Stripe, PayPal, Shopify or Square. An accounting export from Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB also works. At minimum each row needs a date, a description and an amount.

Does it replace my accountant?

Accepted Answer

No. Profit Leak AI does not provide accounting, taxation, legal, investment or financial advice. It surfaces analysis and estimates. Your accountant or adviser remains the right person to validate material financial decisions.

Question 4

Can it connect directly to my bank?

Accepted Answer

Not today. The current version deliberately works from files you export yourself, so nothing needs to be connected or migrated. Direct integrations may be added later.

Question 5

What does Estimated Annual Profit Opportunity mean?

Accepted Answer

It is a conservative, annualised estimate of the spend where a reasonable reduction can be modelled from your own data. It is separated from Identified Costs (actual annualised spend in flagged categories) and Review Value (spend that deserves review but where a saving cannot responsibly be estimated). Flagged amounts are not simply added together, and every figure shows the calculation behind it.

Can Profit Leak AI guarantee savings?

No. Nothing here is a guaranteed saving. Estimates depend on the data you supply and on decisions only you can make. That is why the platform tracks Verified Profit Recovered — savings you have confirmed — completely separately from estimates.

Question 7

How is my data handled?

Accepted Answer

Uploaded data is stored against your own account and is only accessible to you. Access rules are enforced at the database level. We do not use your financial data to train models. We do not claim any security certification we do not hold.

Question 8

Can I delete my information?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete an individual uploaded file, delete an analysis, or delete your entire account and its data from your account settings.

Question 9

What file format should I use?

Accepted Answer

CSV is the most reliable. XLSX is also supported. Export the transaction list rather than a formatted PDF statement.

Question 10

What if my CSV columns are different?

Accepted Answer

Common header variations — Transaction Date, Narrative, Payee, Merchant, Debit, Credit, Amount, Reference — are detected automatically. If a column cannot be identified, you map it manually in one step before analysis begins.
